Insight #1

"According to recent research, hackers are now scanning for vulnerabilities within 15 minutes of disclosure. That leaves zero time to upgrade/patch/block/unplug. At this point, any products/techniques to stop zero days should be where you are investing (e.g. RASP, anomaly detection, etc)."

Insight #2

"Recently, I was reminded today that transparency is important in security. I was reminded that accurately assigning risk, and explaining that risk to stakeholders was important. In security we should always strive to be as transparent as possible, it not only helps stakeholders understand, but it helps the security team’s mental state by not feeling like no one understands."

Insight #3

"Have you started creating SBOMS for your software yet? Standards are being worked, and regulations will require them. The time is now to start being more transparent about your software."
