Insight #1

"I see a lot of blame being placed on users (or the intern) when it comes to breaches and security issues. As an industry, we need to move on from this old way of thinking and start utilizing new strategies and technologies to protect users when they mistakenly do things that may ultimately lead to a breach. Do a threat model, apply technical controls, and take ownership of your security posture."

Insight #2

"In the current economic climate, security will be relied on more than ever. Layoffs and restructuring will inevitably hit most organizations creating a lot of thrash and potential threats from all the people moving around. During these types of macro environment shifts, it is good to re-evaluate your security roadmaps and determine if things should shift due to the changes."

Insight #3

"This is your weekly reminder to enable MFA on your accounts. If you do one security thing this year, it should be this."
