A recent study has 2/3 of cybersecurity professionals saying they have a shortage of cybersecurity staff. The most troubling part of this isn’t that they can’t find people to hire; it's that they aren’t actually hiring, leaving holes in their ability to protect their organization.

The White House released another executive order relating to tech: This time, it’s specific to Artificial Intelligence (AI). I just wonder if we’re too late to the game when it comes to stopping the proliferation of AI and its potential to damage or break our current security and privacy controls. If you’re a CISO, it’s time to start preparing for the influx of AI into your business.

The problem isn’t that it’s cheap to exploit software, as outlined in a new article. The problem is that insecure software still helps the world more than it harms it, as per Dan Miessler’s musings from 2018. We aren’t trying to secure software. Rather, we’re complying with audit and regulatory bodies, and that’s it.
