Insight #1

"Detecting and reporting phishing is very important for any organization. The easiest way for users to detect phishing is to slow down, ask yourself if you expected the message you received, ask yourself if the email or request is out of the ordinary, and reach out to the sending party through another means like a phone call. Once detected as phishing report it to your security teams for analysis and to make sure others in your org have not been hit."

Insight #2

"More vulnerabilities in On-Prem Exchange were released this past week. Once again, these discovered vulnerabilities are being exploited in the wild, and consumers of the on-prem software are trying to figure out how to prevent exploits while trying to upgrade. Moving from on-prem to a SaaS may increase your security posture, and it’s time we take a hard look at it."

Insight #3

"The recent OMB 22-18 requires all government agencies to request self-attestations about the security posture of the software they consume. These self-attestation forms should be provided by the agency, but it’s time for those software organizations selling to the government to start preparing their internal teams to respond to these requests."
