PRESS RELEASE: Fortify Software and WhiteHat Veteran Application Security Experts Join Contrast Security

PALO ALTO, Calif. – August 27, 2014 Contrast Security, a pioneer in application security solutions, today announced the addition of John M. Jack, former CEO of Fortify Software (now HP) and Brian Chess, founder and CTO of Fortify and currently SVP of infrastructure and security at a publicly traded company, as company advisors. The company has also brought on Mark Hodgson, a veteran of WhiteHat Security, as vice president of marketing.  

John and Brian will use their practical experience gleaned from working for and advising companies like HP, Sybase, CipherCloud, AlienVault and ClearSlide to deliver product and go-to-market counsel to the Contrast Security team. John, who has been at the helm of several high-profile public offerings and acquisitions, grew Fortify into a security titan before its sale to HP. He currently sits on the boards of some of the most forward-thinking companies in Silicon Valley. Leveraging proven success building young software companies, Brian helped research then implement ground-breaking solutions to identify security-relevant defects at Fortify.

John and Brian are excited by Contrast Security’s vision and delivery of offering precise and continuous application security that’s faster, more accurate and easier to use than alternatives on the market.
