We were thrilled to participate at this year’s RSA Conference in San Francisco that ended a few weeks ago. It’s a suitable time to reflect on the major theme of the show and highlight the success of our inaugural Contrast User Group meeting. Additionally, its fitting to underscore what an exciting year it’s already been for our company and our customers, and everyone is confident we can maintain our positive momentum for the remainder of the year.

Each year the RSA Conference is built around a key theme, highlighting a major topic within information security - the theme for RSA 2018 was “NOW MATTERS.” Although business leaders acknowledge that cybersecurity is integral to their overall success, it has been very challenging for them to quickly and effectively implement a robust, yet flexible and seamless security posture. There’s also a sense of pressure and urgency for enterprises to identify automated solutions so that they can react quickly and effectively mitigate threats. Unfortunately, were several very high profile breaches attributed to weaknesses in application security. I’d say that “NOW MATTERS" has never been more true when it comes to finding a new way to help developers find and fix security flaws, and take some of the burden off the CISO organization.

At RSA 2018, we also hosted our inaugural Contrast Security User Group Meeting and were excited to hear many creative ways our customers are using Contrast’s solutions. They are taking advantage of modern deployment technologies such as cloud computing, containers and microservices. Customers are integrating the latest development methodologies, including Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD throughout their entire SDLC. During our User Group Meeting, customers learned from and shared best practices with fellow members, identified multiple use cases, and had input into our product roadmap. They also engaged in technical deep dives with fellow practitioners and Contrast team members.

At the beginning of 2018, we were recognized by Gartner as the only Visionary in the Application Security Testing Magic Quadrant. That means a tremendous amount to us, as it underscores that Contrast Security is building the right solution for where the entire industry is going. We are delivering the industry’s leading application testing and run-time protection platform for Agile, DevOps, and software-based digital transformation more broadly.

Ultimately, our progress is tied to our customers and their major accomplishments, and our entire company is dedicated to ensuring our customers’ success. It’s been a very exciting journey, and we look forward to a bright future for our customers, our partners and the entire Contrast Security team.

Here you’ll find a short video from our inaugural Contrast User Group meeting at RSA 2018 that I think you will enjoy.

Sincerely,
